Andy Frame, VP Product Management, is responsible for products, portfolio, roadmap, and marketing within the VyperCore management team. Previously Andy has worked in senior and VP roles in product, marketing, and business development at innovative deeptech companies including Arm and SiFive.
Chris, Lead Toolchain Engineer, brings experience from his work on the compiler for the Graphcore IPU and his work at SN Systems (Sony). At Sony he contributed to the compiler, linker, binary utilities and the debugger. Initially working on PS4, he was part of the PS5 launch team. He has made various contributions to the opensource LLVM project and presented at both the European and US Developer’s meetings. Previously, he published research into on-chip interconnection networks and Software Defined Networks.
David Pudner, Hardware Design Lead, oversees the RTL design of our processor and memory systems. Before joining Vypercore he was the lead engineer in developing and verifying complex FPGA designs at Ultraleap for ultrasonic mid-air haptic systems.
Alongside leading platform software, Donald also develops our debug software stack, drawing on a wealth of embedded and driver development experience in Dyson’s robotics team, at Graphcore and at Imagination Technologies.
Ed looks after VyperCore’s CI and infrastructure and is developing Blockwork alongside Peter and Bucket with Stuart. He spends his time slithering from project to project helping solve annoying problems.
Ed, co-founder and CTO, originated VyperCore’s technology in his 9 years of study and research at the University of Bristol. Before starting VyperCore, Ed co-founded and led a bootstrapped CIC business during the pandemic with a remote team across the US, UK and Europe. His depth of experience across processor architecture, compilers, operating systems, language runtimes and modern web technologies gives him a unique perspective on the true full-stack of computer systems.
Harper has interned with VyperCore twice while reading Computer Science at the University of Cambridge. During her first internship with Judah, she experimented with formally verifiable ISA simulation in Dafny, alongside LLM-generated instruction behaviours. In her second internship she is working on machine-readable and queryable ISA specifications with open-source potential.
James Hayes, Senior Verification Engineer. James works on the verification of the VyperCore memory system. Before joining VyperCore, James worked for ten years as a design and verification engineer at Imagination Technologies.
Jeremy has been in the chip sector for 34 years, first designing world leading mixed signal and digital chips for graphics, then in EDA for advanced memory devices. He founded Pulsic which was sold to Cadence in 2023 and has also founded three environmental companies.
Judah - When he isn’t skateboarding around Cambridge playing a Saxophone, he works on processor modelling at Vypercore. Beforehand, he worked as a cyber security analyst at Collin’s Aerospace, and a software engineer at Myrtle.ai, working on hardware optimization. Judah interned last year with Harper and stayed with Vypercore ever since.
Oisin, Design Engineer, is one of our engineers working on implementing our novel processor and memory systems in RTL. Before joining VyperCore he worked at Picocom Ltd where he designed and verified 5G Baseband SoCs.
Peter Birch, VP Engineering, is responsible for running the engineering team and delivering the co-designed hardware and software roadmap. He brings experience from past work on complex, cross-discipline projects including the development of specialised AI training and inference accelerators at GraphCore, and 5G backhaul modems at Blu Wireless.
Russell Haggar, CEO, co-founded VyperCore in 2022 after 35 years in the technology sector as an engineer, industry exec, investor, advisor and consultant. Of the 30 startups he's been involved with in that time, VyperCore is his most exciting project by far.
Stuart is Hardware Verification lead at Vypercore, with 18 years of experience in the industry. He is currently responsible for CPU verification, including building our bespoke instruction generator and creating Bucket with Ed Kotarski.
Tom is a Senior Toolchain Engineer at VyperCore and brings experience developing compilers for Graphcore’s IPU. He also previously worked on porting, rendering, and general development of videogames.
